THE FALLS:

Although the brook was clogged by fallen trees during our recent visit, Codfish Falls should be crafted into your waterfall-infused day-trip. Three separate drops of 2 feet, 5 feet and 11 feet, along with several smaller cascades, combine to a total drop of about 20 feet within a fine-looking ravine. The most impressive of the lot is the upper falls, which consists of a 7-foot plunge immediately followed by a low-angle fan about 4 feet in height. Access is very straightforward and natural forces—such as ice during the winter and run-off during the spring—are likely to clear the trees stuck in the ravine by the time you get a chance to visit.

TRAIL INFORMATION:

To find to the falls, continue upstream from the parking area with the river on your right and you will reach the falls in about 300 feet.
