THE FALLS:
Although the trailhead for this waterfall is a clearly marked parking area along the popular auto road to the summit of Mt. Greylock, Money Brook Falls receives little attention. That is a shame in our opinion, as the 80-foot tall horsetail located here is quite a spectacular sight, especially in high water. Similar to the other waterfalls within the park, this set of falls is seasonal and best viewed in late spring or early summer.
If time allows, consider combining a visit to these falls with other highlights of the park, such as March Cataract Falls, Deer Hill Falls, and the summit of Mt. Greylock. A day-trip to all these worthwhile destinations can create quite a joyous day for you and your family.
TRAIL INFORMATION:
Follow the trail from the parking area to the blue-blazed Money Brook Trail. You will reach two forks on this trail. Take a left at the first fork after 0.25 mile and a left at another fork only 0.1 mile from the falls. There are signs directing you towards the falls at all junctions.
