THE FALLS:
With so many other noteworthy falls in the area, Seven Falls springs to life as a comfortable pit stop to have a barbeque, sandwich, or some other picnic-suitable meal. Although the term “Seven Falls” suggests seven waterfalls, the actually number of cascades varies depending on the source. We can pick out only three sizeable cascades, rather than seven.
Most waterfalls on our website are large in size or power, stunningly beautiful, or a combination of the three. To be honest, none of those three characteristics really applies to Seven Falls. What you can expect to fine is a fine picnic area.
TRAIL INFORMATION:
All of the small cascades of Seven Falls are visible from the picnic area in front of the parking area. The most significant falls are at the end of the picnic area.
DIRECTIONS:
From Middletown, take CT 9 south to exit 10. Follow Aircraft Road for 0.1 mile, and take a right onto CT 154 south. Follow CT 154 south for 0.7 mile and take a left into a marked parking lot for the falls.
SPECIAL NOTES:
None. |
